How the MPanel product range is structured
MPanel software broadly falls into two groups:
Professional range
(CAD-based)
These are comprehensive toolsets for design, engineering, and fabrication. They act as floating toolboards inside AutoCAD, Rhino, or MPCore, MPanel’s own lightweight CAD platform, which is included free with every Professional product.
Stand-alone products
(no CAD required)
- These are focused tools for specific tasks that do not require any CAD system:
- Front office (sales): Shade Site Designer
- Back office (production): Shade Sail Patterner, Awning Patterner and MPCore with a range of Apps which enable patterning or fabric structures designed in Shade Site Designer
- Many businesses use a combination of Professional and stand-alone products as their capabilities grow.
About CAD, MPCore, and MPCore Apps
All MPanel Professional products operate as floating toolbars inside either AutoCAD, Rhino or MPCore platforms (except Marine & Cover Professional, which does not support AutoCAD).
If you don’t already use CAD, MPanel includes MPCore, our own lightweight CAD platform, supplied free with every Professional product. MPCore removes the need for expensive CAD licences and allows teams to add seats without additional CAD costs.
MPCore Apps extend this further by enabling patterning of fabric structures created in Shade Site Designer. These include framed shade structures, arched structures, umbrellas, conics, and pole tents / marquees.
A flexible system that grows with you
